Getting Out Of Our Comfort Zones

I love vacation. Like probably many of you. What I like most about vacation – other than the warm weather and adult beverages and time to do anything and everything without having to take a break for laundry or cleaning the house – is that vacation is about getting out of your letting go of our inhibitions.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that a vacation has to be high octane adventure 24/7. I’m talking about letting go of what we think  we should be doing. Be that laundry or cooking dinner or mowing the lawn.

Vacation is all about getting out of our comfort zones while being (at least for me) absolutely comfortable. Taking a hike up ancient Aztec ruins. Swimming with dolphins. Not checking email eleventy million times each day and not feeling obligated to like or comment on every social media post that hits our feed.

For Nick and Daisy, a working vacation is anything but comfortable. You see, both of them have been ignoring on-going attraction feelings for a long time. Added to that, the vacation is technically a work trip for Daisy. Added to that, Daisy has been dumped – and is now being romanced – by her boss. Added to that, Nick has work problems of his own, prime amongst them that his business is badly in need of cash. Of course, when they’re away from those problems – Daisy’s amorous boss notwithstanding – it’s harder and harder to remember all of their reasons for not being together.

I hope you enjoy reading about Nick and Daisy’s journey to happily ever after as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Perfect on Paper
Nicholas Vega started ManServants as a way to make extra cash in college; five years later, his business is bigger than he ever imagined. And it's in trouble. An angry ex-client wants to sue because one of his employees didn't sleep with her. To keep things going, Nick takes on a client of his own - his best friend Daisy MacIntosh.

Daisy needs a boyfriend in a bad way. Her current boss - and ex-lover - has planned a retreat and makes no bones about wanting her back in his bed, at least for the weekend. Daisy wants a barrier between them, and an on-paper boyfriend seems like the best idea.

The problem? Once they're playing at being in love, their fictional relationship might blow their real life friendship out of the water.
