Winter Dreams

Congratulations to "Deanne", the winner in Dana's giveaway. Thank you to all who participated!

This month Crimson Romance releases Winter Dreams, a contemporary romance book-bundle for $0.99. To celebrate, I’ve gathered Penelope and Carson from Christmas Dinner by Robyn Neeley, Amanda and Tate from The Winter Fairy by Lola Karns, and Halle and Blake from Holiday Hoopla by me. Take a look!

Other than physical appearance, what was the first thing you noticed about your love that made you realize you loved him?

Penelope: “I must confess, I fell for Carson’s daughter, Eloise, long before I met him. It wasn’t until I heard him laugh, that I began to wonder if there was more to him than the serious stone-faced man I met after dance class.”

Amanda: Laughs, touching Tate’s knee. “The first time I thought I met Tate he sat next to me on the bus on the way to work. He was literally piecing on his suit—I’m talking buttoning shirt, putting on tie--while I typed WTF to my assistant. Turns out he was going to an interview to be my new co-anchor. While it didn’t happen overnight, as I watched Tate interact with my family and town residents, I realized just how wonderful he was. When I learned the secret he’d been keeping since he was a boy about the first time we met as kids, it made me love him even more.”

Halle: “I knew I was falling for my new business partner during the holiday party at his family ranch. Watching him in his natural habitat, joking and smiling, sealed the deal for me. The kiss under the mistletoe didn’t hurt either!”

Have you two set any new holiday traditions?

Penelope: “Carson enjoys the wrapping paper fight and Eloise insists we go caroling door-to-door, although with all the various families to visit in town, it seems like car door to front door caroling.”

Amanda: “Well, given that I grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Upstate New York and Tate has said time and time again that 747 planes could land safely on the front lawn, it’s been hard to come up with our own traditions that haven’t already been done by my family. The tacky Christmas sweaters, the egg nog sugar cookies, all the decorations … already done.” She leans in and lowers her voice. “I think we started a tradition of hot shower sex last year.”

Tate: “We should definitely make that our tradition.”

Halle: “Every year we still attend all of Blake’s holiday party obligations. Luckily, he’s not a big grump about them anymore. Our tradition would probably be picking up hot chocolate and driving around to view all of the beautiful holiday lights together. And,” she glances sideways at Blake, “there are still long, warm socks involved.” She winks.

If you could get your love one gift that tells them exactly how you feel what would it be?

Carson: “I don’t think there is anything I could buy or make that would show Penelope how much I love her. Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve been watching instructional videos on YouTube and I might finally be able to dance with her and not step on her toes.”

Amanda: “I’m way better at those kind of gifts than Tate is.”

Tate: “Amanda stole my lucky rock last year and re-gifted it.”

Amanda: “Wait, that’s not what happened. You gave it to me for good luck.”

Tate: “Yes, I did.” He reaches in his pocket and pulls it out. “She had it engraved to say Christmas Dinner. Those two words connect us to our past, present and future.” He reaches over and kisses Amanda. “I’m glad you came back to me that night, baby.”

Amanda: “Me, too,” she whispers and kisses him back.

Tate: “Sorry, Dana. What was your question?”

Blake: “Time is a hot commodity for the both of us. If I could give Halle anything it would be to stop time so we could enjoy each other’s company in peace. Since that isn’t possible, I’ve arranged an island get away for New Year’s…just the two of us.”
