Thank you for having me on your blog!

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a celebrity? How it feels to have hordes of fans and media adoring you and following your every move? And how, in this mass of hysterical people, you can possibly find true love?  Aren’t relationships bound to be tainted by superficiality—the very backside of stardom?

I’ve always wanted to go behind the scenes and discover who these colorful, super-talented and holier-than-thou individuals are and how they cope with life on a pedestal… what they do in their free time, what they eat, how they sleep on the road, who they like to spend time with, how they deal with constantly being recognized, and how they see their situation. I’ve wanted to know their influences, dreams, struggles… and their heart’s desires.

One day, I decided to write the tale of a bass player and founder of a groove rock band as seen from his perspective. What a challenge it was to dig deep into the mind of such a mythical person! Like with every story I write, I needed his to be realistic yet original, and did a thorough research (I’m not going to elaborate on the procedure, he he).

Developing my rock star character was so much fun. I could make him as gorgeous, raunchy and untouchable as I liked and have girls—and maybe even guys—squeal for him. At the same time, I could give him a unique personality and show my readers that even the most famous of people can have a poignant past, a bad conscience, a lonely heart, and a normal life beside the sex, drugs and rock ’n roll circus.

These are the premises of the erotic contemporary romance My Biggest Fan. Whether true love was in the cards for my boy or not, you’ll have to read to find out. Enjoy—and Merry Christmas!!

Shawn Torien is a handsome, arrogant bassist with the groove rock band Bloodless. At thirty four, he’s seen everything, been everywhere, and all is handed to him on a silver plate—groupies included. His rock star attitude is questioned when the record company’s young webmistress Samantha joins the band to cover their life on the road.

Since she has crushed on Shawn for years, he takes great pleasure in teasing her and pushing her away... until he learns about the woman beneath the surface.

It’s late afternoon. Sam’s absence drives me nuts. I roam around backstage like a caged beast, pacing from wall to wall, fists balled, blood pulsing in my ears.

When we tested the gear, sound and lights earlier, I couldn’t see her. Rehearsal’s reserved for the band and crew, but as a label employee, she would have been welcome. She didn’t show at dinner, either.

Our supporting band is playing. Rhythmic funk rock blasts through the walls, and the lowest notes resonate in the floor. In forty-five minutes, it’s our turn to hit the stage, but I can’t concentrate on the task. I miss the girl so much my mind keeps focusing on her and our argument.

Has she left?

It wouldn’t surprise me. She’s more hard-headed than I thought. That’s great, but I’d prefer she give up that pride of hers and come back to me. I want to tell her I regret my words.

Timmi sits in a corner observing me, but I can’t talk to him. It’s hard for a skirt chaser like me to admit a chick is driving me crazy.

After a moment, he stands from his chair and walks over, shaking his long blond curls. “What’s with you, man?”

I stare into worried green eyes and find myself unable to speak.

“Ah, I think I know.” He pats my shoulder and smiles. “She went to the hotel room.”

Heart racing, I run out the door, through the street, into the marbled hotel lobby, take the elevator to the eighth floor, and run in the endless, carpeted hall until I recognize the correct room number. Out of breath, I knock.

Sweat runs down my temples. What do I do if she refuses?

The door opens. Baffled, I gasp. I can’t believe my luck. It’s her, standing there with an insecure look in her gorgeous brown eyes, showing me in. In the next second, the door closes.
I wrap my arms around her, press her hard against me, bury my face in her warm, pulsating neck, and inhale. I want to apologize but can’t find the words. Me, the songwriter, the big-mouthed, cocky ass!

Ass-hole, yeah. I close my eyes in shame. How can I believe—

“It’s okay,” she whispers. “I know you, Shawn. I’ve always known who you are.”
