Laugh As Much As Possible Along The Wild Ride

Congratulations to "Maureen C." and "Kai", the winners of Bobbi's Giveaway. Thank you to all who participated!

Yes, it’s begun. From this point on, madness ensues. Best piece of advice...laugh as much as possible along the wild ride.

My story, An American Holiday-Turkey, Cranberry Sauce & Prozac, releasing Black Friday from Storm Moon Press ( covers what I said above.

What do you do when everything that can go wrong, does?

Make a Bloody Mary and take pictures of the chaos. Hey, a Bloody Mary is red & green. You’re still being festive. Ya know?

Ahh, Thanksgiving...complete with the ghosts of holidays past. Those being humiliating memories of last year's revelry gone wild: the jail cell, tattoo, and rose left on Kristi's pillow by someone she can't remember.

Toss in two brothers who, while loving, had needled her with vivid imagery on what might have happened during that fateful rendezvous at the local HoJo's. I mean seriously, what's a girl to do? She'd run like hell from Harpers Ferry back to her apartment and job in Alexandria.

She's praying this year's holiday runs a bit more traditionally. But between exploding turkeys, cranberry fights, and the winter storm threatening to lock them all together for God only knew how long, she's fairly certain her Norman Rockwell hopes have flown the coop.

Adding another layer to this casserole of disaster, the high school boyfriend--who cheated on her two days before prom--returns, claiming to have made a horrid mistake all those years ago.

Amid all this, what has her heart flip-flopping is catching her best friend Simon getting cozy with his latest girlfriend.

Thing is, she isn't sure why.

Okay- things are busy so I’ll KISS (Keep it simple stupid) and tell.

Two Prizes up for Grabs.

May you and yours have a Wonderful & Safe Holiday Season!

  2. This sounds different than what I normally read but entirely too fun to miss!! :)

  3. Wow... An American Holiday sounds absolutely chaotic and fun. In the past year or so Romantic Comedy has become my fav genre. Definitely adding this to my TBR. Thank you for the giveaway and introducing you & your books!

  4. Every year for the Holidays, my family has drama beyond drama. One, my mother doesn't like eating turkey yet she always somehow pushes my sisters and I out of the kitchen whenever we're trying to prepare for the Holiday Dinner. Another, everyone is trying to stay clean that day. If the cranberries or gravy dripped into one's clothing or rug, it can be clean but everyone make a fuse about it. And the last one I will share is when dinner is ready, my family members tend to disappear somewhere in the house, on the property or somewhere in the neighborhood. That's drama in my family.

  5. Interesting blurb

  6. I'm one of those that always stressed for that Better Homes & Gardens type event--ended up with delicious food served on paper plates balanced carefully on knee's. I will admit, I do own the Publix Pilgrim salt & pepper shakers. Yep, I do.
